Why GSBC
The Graduate School of Banking at Colorado offers the next generation of community bank leaders the chance to learn valuable skills and make valuable connections with other industry leaders.
Changing as Quickly as Community Banking
We recognize the importance of community banks and the role they play in their communities and local economies, and are committed now than ever to providing the training and skills necessary for them to thrive amidst challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on the economy, banking regulation and more.
GSBC is working closely with the University of Colorado Boulder and following official guidance offered by the State of Colorado and CDC to design an in-person session where live classes, networking and campus living can be executed safely via social distancing measures. It is likely that more sections of classes with smaller number of students will be offered, among other modifications to the program.
While it remains our preference to host a 100 percent in-person event to facilitate relationship building, GSBC’s leaders understand how the pandemic environment can quickly dictate otherwise. Thus, GSBC will offer an at-home, self-paced session for those who are not able to attend in person, and a flexible cancellation policy should your plans change between now and the start of the session.

My GSBC experience was truly wonderful. The classes are well-structured and taught by knowledgeable instructors covering many of the issues community bankers are faced with today, and in preparing for future challenges. The students come from organizations all over the country and bring a unique diversity to the in-class discussions. There are numerous networking opportunities to meet and connect with peers, and I am thankful to have met so many other professionals and friends. Last but certainly not least, the entire experience takes place in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, with its incredible views and endless outdoor adventures nearby.

Rob Nahrwold
My experience at GSBC was nothing short of outstanding. Beyond the beautiful scenery, unlimited activities and exciting culture that Boulder provides, my three years in the program afforded me a career opportunity of a lifetime. I learned so much, and cannot place a value on the connections, friendships and experiences gained as a result of attending the program. Going forward, I will forever be GSBC’s most vocal cheerleader and advocate!
