The Community Bankers Summit offers GSBC alumni and senior managers of community banks three days of learning and networking on the beautiful University of Colorado Boulder campus during the Annual School Session.
Participants of the Community Bankers Summit attend a one-day community banking seminar led by GSBC faculty paired with a two-day executive leadership certificate symposium taught by CU Boulder’s Leeds School of Business faculty. GSBC alumni will enjoy the opportunity to return to Boulder and reconnect with friends and faculty!
Days 1-2: Leeds Certificate in Executive Leadership
New in 2022! GSBC has partnered with the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business to develop a Certificate in Executive Leadership exclusively for GSBC alumni.
This program will build on leadership concepts that are delivered annually during GSBC’s Annual School Session, delivering an organizational leadership, crisis management, and change curriculum. Courses include:
- Understanding the Organization as a System
- Leading Organizational Change
- Creating an Ethical Climate
- Leading Through a Crisis
- Leader Reactions Course
Day 3: Community Banking Seminar
GSBC collaborates with its Alumni Advisory Board to curate a curriculum designed to foster discussion among Annual School Session faculty, industry experts and community bankers regarding strategies and best practices for community banks to employ in the coming year. Sessions in 2022 to cover:
- Compensation strategies for attracting and retaining top talent
- Crypto currency and the faster payments landscape
- Fintech strategy development for community banks
- Gender diversity among bank leaders and its impact on bank performance
- M&A landscape and outlook for community banks

State-of-the-art classrooms are provided by the Leeds School of Business in the Koebel building, near the heart of the CU Boulder campus.View on Map
Summit attendees may stay at GSBC’s preferred hotel, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Boulder, from July 24-26 for a discounted rate of $249/night. Accommodations are not included in program fees. The room block cutoff date is June 24, 2022.

Registration & Fees
This is an intermediate/advanced level program that is best suited for GSBC alumni, managers, executive officers and regulators of community banks.
The 2-day Leeds Executive Leadership Certificate symposium is available to GSBC Alumni only and is strictly limited to 50 attendees. Early registration is strongly advised.
Registration is also available for the 1-day Community Banking Seminar; alumni status is not required for this option.Register Now
Continuing Professional Education
Attendees can also count seminar hours toward Continuing Professional Education. GSBC is registered with the NASBA as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses.Learn More
