The Community Bankers Summit offers senior managers of community banks three days of learning and networking on the beautiful University of Colorado Boulder campus during the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado's Annual School Session.


Overview

GSBC’s president and Alumni Advisory Board have designed a curriculum that will foster discussion among Annual School Session faculty, industry experts and community bankers regarding strategies and best practices for community banks to thrive in 2018.

Sessions Will Address

  • How to stay relevant among shifts in customer and employee demographics
  • How to respond to changes to the payments system and cybersecurity
  • What are opportunities and risks with social media marketing?
  • Balance sheet management strategies

Sessions begin midday on Monday, July 23 and conclude midday on Wednesday, July 25. Plan to arrive over the weekend to take in the endless outdoor recreation that Boulder and the surrounding area have to offer, and play in the GSBC Alumni Association Annual Golf Tournament. All are welcome to attend!

This is an intermediate/advanced level seminar that is best suited for the following individuals: GSBC alumni, CEOs, presidents, CFOs, chief risk officers, marketing officers, bank regulators, directors and members of senior management at community banks.

GSBC alumni and multiple-attendee discounts apply for this program.

Attendees can also count seminar hours toward Continuing Professional Education. GSBC is registered with the NASBA as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses.

Facilities & Accommodations

This program will be hosted in the new Village Center Dining and Community Commons on the University of Colorado Boulder campus. This state-of-the-art facility is situated in the Williams Village Complex Southeast of Wolf Law, and offers stunning views of Boulder’s Flatirons.

Hotel accommodations are not included in registration fees; GSBC has arranged for special rates at nearby hotels, and attendees are required to make their own reservations.
