Driving Financial Performance explains the principles of analyzing a bank’s performance and financial condition. Utilizing the Uniform Bank Performance Report, students will be able to develop a risk profile of a financial institution; evaluate funds management practices; identify and quantify significant changes in a bank’s net interest margin; identify credit, market, liquidity, operational, legal & reputation risks. With this knowledge, participants will be able to drive financial performance.
Key learning objectives of the course are to:
- Understand balance sheet and income statement flow.
- Understand the key risk and performance drivers of your bank.
- Connect asset quality issues with earnings performance, liquidity, and capital support.
- Drive change in a bank’s financial performance.
