This course will focus on the regulatory examination process regarding consumer compliance, where the participants will hear directly from a senior bank regulator.

Discussion topics will include Mortgage Related Regulations (including TRID); Fair Lending; Overdraft Programs; Unfair and/or Deceptive Acts or Practices (UDAP); Garnishments; Flood Insurance; Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA); Community Reinvestment Act (CRA); Service-members Civil Relief Act (SCRA) / Military Lending Act; and Third Party Risks.

In addition, how to develop and implement an effective Compliance Management System (CMS) to address the rules, regulations, and laws which banks face will be covered, as will tips and best practices on how to prepare for and effectively manage a consumer compliance examination. The course also includes a Mock Compliance Examination where YOU serve as an Examiner in a Bank Examination Case Study. This Case Study has received very positive participant feedback.

At the end of the course, participants will have a better understanding of several consumer compliance regulations, as well as insight into the regulatory examination process in order for your institution to have a strong effective relationship with your regulator, before, during and after an examination.
