GSBC Announces Special Programming for Upcoming 75th Annual School Session
GSBC is proud to announce a dynamic lineup of keynote sessions and special programming for the 75th Annual School Session, taking place this July on the University of Colorado Boulder campus.
Marking its milestone 75th year, GSBC continues its tradition of delivering a powerful blend of leadership development, industry insight and forward-looking education designed to prepare community banking leaders for what’s next.
A Milestone Year of Leadership and Learning
This year’s featured sessions bring together renowned speakers and banking-industry experts to create an immersive learning experience that extends beyond the classroom.
From champion leadership to emerging financial technologies, students will engage with ideas and perspectives that challenge them to think bigger about their roles, their institutions and the future of community banking.
July 20: Dream Like a Champion – John Cook
GSBC will kick off the session with an inspiring keynote from legendary University of Nebraska volleyball coach, John Cook.
In Dream Like a Champion, Cook will share insights on building winning cultures, sustaining excellence and leading with purpose at the highest level.
July 22 & 27: CEO Perspectives – Committed to Lead Micro-Credential
As part of GSBC’s Committed to Lead micro-credential, the CEO Perspectives series provides direct access to executives actively leading community banks.
On July 22, Billy Carroll, president and CEO of SmartBank, will share insights on building and scaling a high-performing organization.
On July 27, GSBC Chair and Bank of the Flint Hills CEO Lance White will offer perspective on leadership, strategy and navigating change in today’s environment.
Together, these sessions deliver candid, real-world insight into leadership at the highest level of community banking.
July 23: ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator Showcase
GSBC students will gain exposure to the latest innovations shaping the industry through the ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator Showcase.
This year’s showcase will focus on artificial intelligence, data, digital assets, fraud prevention and customer experience.
July 28: Faculty Panel on Stablecoin
GSBC faculty and industry leaders will close out the featured sessions with a timely panel discussion on stablecoin and the evolving role of digital assets in banking.
The panel will feature faculty members David Peterson and Kyle Thomas, alongside GSBC alum and former faculty member Becky Buhr, and will be moderated by GSBC Trustee Sheila Noll.
The discussion will explore risk implications and strategic opportunities tied to digital assets and their impact on community banking.
