GSBC Spotlight: Leadership in Action – CEO Perspectives

At the 75th Annual School Session, GSBC students will gain direct access to experienced banking leaders through the Committed to Lead CEO Perspectives series, part of GSBC’s Committed to Lead micro-credential for second- and third-year students.

A Signature Leadership Experience

Designed to elevate leadership development beyond the classroom, the micro-credential connects students with executives actively shaping the future of community banking. The CEO Perspectives interviews are a cornerstone of that experience, offering candid, real-world insight into leadership, strategy and decision-making at the highest level.

July 22: CEO Perspectives with Billy Carroll

Billy Carroll, president and CEO of SmartBank, will share his perspective on building and scaling a high-performing organization. As a founding leader of SmartBank, Carroll has guided the institution’s growth across multiple markets while maintaining a strong community banking focus.

GSBC Chair and Bank of the Flint Hills CEO Lance White will bring his experience as both a bank leader and longtime GSBC contributor. White will draw from his experience leading his family’s $500 million bank located in Northeast Kansas on leadership, strategic direction and navigating change in an evolving environment.
