John Cook to Inspire GSBC Students with “Dream Big, Dream Like a Champion”

GSBC is proud to welcome legendary Nebraska Volleyball Head Coach John Cook as a featured keynote speaker during this year’s Annual School Session. Cook will take the stage on Monday, July 20, delivering his powerful presentation, “Dream Big, Dream Like a Champion.”

This keynote will be the first of the FHLBank Topeka Speaker Series at GSBC, an annual sponsorship partnership that designates a featured keynote during the Annual School Session.

Coach Cook is one of the most accomplished leaders in collegiate athletics. Over 25 seasons at the University of Nebraska, he built a national powerhouse capturing four NCAA national championships and establishing a culture defined by accountability, resilience and sustained excellence.

In his address, Cook will share the leadership mindset behind championship performance, challenging students to:

  • Build and sustain a culture of excellence
  • Develop leadership at every level
  • Turn adversity into opportunity
  • Dream boldly — and commit to the discipline required to achieve those dreams

While his background is in athletics, his lessons on vision, teamwork and performance translate directly to community banking and organizational leadership.

Hosted each July at the University of Colorado Boulder, GSBC’s Annual School Session delivers a foundational and forward-thinking curriculum that immerses students in a network of fellow leaders while strengthening their understanding of community banking.

GSBC is currently accepting applications for its 75th Annual School Session, which will kick off July 19 at the University of Colorado Boulder.
