Adam Rainey Elected to Lead GSBC’s Alumni Association

GSBC has elected Adam Rainey, Executive Vice President and Senior Lender at The Bank of Advance, as Chair of its Alumni Advisory Board.
As Chair, Rainey also serves as Chair of the GSBC Alumni Association and Alumni Advisor to the GSBC Board of Trustees, strengthening communication and collaboration between alumni, GSBC leadership and the school’s governing board.
Established by the Board of Trustees, the Alumni Advisory Board helps foster meaningful engagement among GSBC graduates while serving as ambassadors for the school in key markets across the country. Through relationship building, advocacy and strategic guidance, the board helps strengthen enrollment, supports GSBC’s long-term priorities and ensures the perspectives of alumni remain closely connected to the school’s future.
“Our Alumni Advisory Board members are some of GSBC’s strongest champions,” said Josie Bunch, GSBC Vice President of Strategy & Experience. “They stay connected to our graduates, advocate for GSBC within their states and help identify the next generation of community bank leaders. Adam understands the importance of those relationships and will be an exceptional leader for our alumni.”
A 2015 graduate of GSBC’s Annual School Session with honors, Rainey serves as Executive Vice President and Senior Lender at The Bank of Advance. He previously served as Missouri Bankers Association Young Bankers Leadership Chair and has built a career centered on leadership, community banking and service.
Rainey succeeds Anita Drentlaw, president and CEO of New Market Bank, as Chair of the GSBC Alumni Advisory Board and will serve a two-year term.
