Investment & Admission
The Community Bank Performance Institute is an investment in independent financial judgment and stronger balance sheet decision-making. Participants develop the ability to approach investment, liquidity and capital decisions as an integrated system rather than isolated choices.
Eligibility
All registrants are required to be employees or directors of taxable, FDIC-insured institutions or bank holding companies, bank regulators, or employees of closely-related affiliates of these organizations.
Tuition, Investment & Program Value
Tuition: $3,220
Tuition includes in-person instruction and some meals. Payment is due 30 days prior to the start of the session. Hotel is not included in registration fees; attendees must book their reservation independently.
Investment
This investment develops capabilities that most community bank financial leaders are expected to have but are rarely formally trained in:
- Independent judgment in investment and balance sheet decisions
- Confidence interpreting securities, structure and risk
- Integrated perspective across portfolio, liquidity and capital
- Clear communication of strategy to ALCO and the board
Program Value
The investment in CBPI can be recovered through improved decision quality across a small number of transactions. For example:
- Improving execution on a single trade can materially impact pricing
- Avoiding underperforming structures preserves income across the portfolio
More importantly, when financial leaders can independently evaluate analytics, verify recommendations and select appropriate structures, the benefit compounds across the entire balance sheet.
The more relevant question is not the cost of attending, but the cost of not developing this capability.
