In 2009, Kelly Karns purchased a bank consulting firm that was originally founded in 1986 and renamed it Profit Improvement, LLC. The firm serves the banking industry in Vendor Contract Management, IT Contract Negotiations and Profit Reviews.
Prior to the acquisition of Profit Improvement, Kelly had over 20 years of executive experience in banking, with a history in profit improvement from both revenue growth and cost control. His background covers expense reduction, efficiency, organizational structure, product innovation, service enhancement, and market expansion. He has a Bachelor of Science in Finance, an MBA and served in the US Marine Corps. Kelly was an honor graduate of the Oklahoma Bankers Association Commercial Lending School and is a Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager. He also has nine years executive experience in trust, investment and insurance activities.
Outside of banking, Kelly served as controller for a publicly traded distribution company. During this time he actively participated in the restructuring and sale of the company.
