Ellen McCoy Sharp handles general legal matters for the bank and supervises the bank’s special assets, loan review and loan processing departments. As such, Ellen oversees loan documentation processes, monitoring of the bank’s loan portfolio for credit quality issues and the management and disposition of troubled loans and other non-performing assets. Ellen is the primary contact for the bank’s regulators and auditors on asset quality issues and works with outside counsel on collections, general litigation and regulatory compliance.
Ellen is a graduate of Rollins College and earned both her M.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Kentucky. She graduated with honors from the GSBC in 2018. Prior to joining Central Bank & Trust Co. in 2011, Ellen practiced law with the Lexington, Kentucky office of Frost Brown Todd LLC, where she practiced in the area of creditors’ rights, commercial and consumer foreclosure, bankruptcy law, commercial litigation, real estate law and general creditor/debtor issues.
