Michelle N. Hodge has over a decade of banking and regulatory experience. She started her banking career as an Accounting Analyst in a Texas bank before joining the Texas Department of Banking (TDB) in 2008 as an Assistant Bank Examiner in the San Antonio Regional Office. Hodge transferred to the Houston Regional Office in January 2013 and received her commission shortly thereafter.
In February 2018, Hodge became a Review Examiner and transferred to TDB Headquarters in Austin, Texas. Today, her portfolio consists of banks and trust companies totaling approximately $127 billion in assets. She reviews examination reports and correspondence, and prepares regulatory responses for these institutions, including coordination with federal counterparts. Additionally, Hodge serves on regulatory panels and assists in the TDB commissioning process. In 2017, Hodge graduated from GSBC. She currently serves on the Texas Tech School of Banking Advisory Board.
Hodge graduated from Texas Tech University in 2007 with a B.B.A. in Management. She is a member of the State Agency Council that supports the Governor’s Commission for Women. Hodge is involved with Susan G. Komen 3-Day events and is active with the United States Tennis Association. She resides in Austin with her husband, Stephen, and their dogs, Gustav and Fernando, and enjoys traveling the world as much as possible.
