Gail Bliss is Chief Operating Officer of Northeast Bank, a community bank with offices in Minneapolis, New Brighton, and Coon Rapids. She began her banking career as an intern for Northeast Bank in 1986 and was hired just three weeks into her internship. She has held many positions within the bank and currently heads the bank’s strategic planning process and works closely with the board of directors on governance matters.

Gail has a B.A. degree in Organizational Leadership from Bethel University and graduated with honors from the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado in 2009. Gail is a past Chair of the Minnesota Bankers Association and currently serves as a member of the Minnesota Department of Commerce’s Bank Advisory Council and the Minnesota Bankers Associations Government Relations Council. 

She has a long history with GSBC having served on the Alumni Advisory Board and as a bank simulation instructor for five years.

Gail strongly believes in the importance of community banking and the impact they have on the communities they serve and the importance of creating leaders for the future of community banking.
