Brent Klanderud

Brent Klanderud retired from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in February 2024 after serving in several capacities over his 39 year career. The majority of his FDIC career involved community bank oversight within the Division of Risk Management Supervision. This segment of his career culminated with serving as the Field Supervisor for the Omaha, Nebraska Territory for 16 years until February 2020 when he joined the FDIC’s Office of the Ombudsman.  He served as the Kansas City Regional Ombudsman until his February 2024 retirement and in retirement serves as a Regulatory Advisor for FinPro, Inc., Somerville, New Jersey.

Brent graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and from GSBC in 1999. He currently serves as a regulator for the school’s Bank Management Simulation course.
