GSBC proudly welcomes Matthew Hanson, Market President of Alpine Bank in Colorado Springs, as its Colorado advisor on the Alumni Advisory Board.

Hanson joined Alpine Bank in 2011 and has since advanced through roles in lending, branch management and regional leadership, culminating in his current position leading the bank’s expansion into the Pikes Peak region.

A 2016 graduate of GSBC’s Annual School Session and a 2022 graduate of GSBC’s Executive Development Institute for Community Bankers®, Hanson has built a career defined by growth, leadership and community commitment.

“Matt represents the best of what it means to be a GSBC graduate,” said Josie Bunch, GSBC Vice President of Strategy & Experience. “He’s an enthusiastic leader, deeply rooted in community banking and passionate about continued development and career growth. We’re thrilled to have him represent Colorado and bring his perspective to our Alumni Advisory Board.”

As an Alumni Advisory Board member, Hanson will help strengthen alumni connections across the state, elevate GSBC’s reach within the banking industry and inspire the next generation of Colorado-based community bankers.

Hanson succeeds Quentin Leighty, Chief Financial Officer and President of First National Bank Colorado in Northern El Paso County, who recently completed two consecutive terms of service to the board.
