5 Class Hours

Instructor: Tory Haggerty

In this course, we will walk through growth opportunities that community banks can use to expand your product and market reach. Too often, opportunities are not taken advantage of because decision makers don’t understand the risk. Too many community banks stay on the sidelines of opportunity because they don’t know enough about a risk. In other instances, bank executives jump in and don’t consider key risks until its too late. Growth strategies should be deliberate, and decision makers need to know not only risks but what opportunities are available. This course will educate the next generation of banking leaders how to spot the right opportunities, and what risks you should be looking for.

Some of the highlights we will cover in this course include:

  • Understanding current and future branching structure
  • Leveraging technology and data to make strategic decisions
  • Using data to allocate personnel and marketing resources
  • Understanding the power of social media but with risk mitigation in mind
  • FinTechs and third-party relationships – they can either be a risk nightmare or a force-multiplier
