Basic Lending Concepts-Level 1

Course Summary

This course is designed for participants to become familiar with basic lending topics.  Topics will include what is the role of credit in making a loan decision, how to structure a loan and why is it important to integrate basic credit metrics to ensure repayment of loan.

Course Objectives

  1. To prepare non-experienced lenders for the importance of credit in making loan decisions.
  2. To provide credit tools in making loan decisions.
  3. To provide skills to lenders in loan structure to ensure success in repayment of loan.

Advanced Lending Topics-Level 2

Course Summary

This course is designed for lenders with at least 3 – 5 years of lending (preferably commercial) experience.  Topics will include advanced cash flow analysis, advanced loan structuring, advanced loan covenant preparation, the avoidance of permanent capital loans without a defined repayment and problem loan identification.

  1. To prepare experienced lenders for the importance of credit in making loan decisions.
  2. To provide credit tools in making loan decisions.
  3. To provide skills to lenders in loan structure to ensure success in repayment of loan.
  4. To provide advanced cash flow training to experienced lenders.
