Tom Williams is the business continuity/cyber-security strategy manager for the Gladiator Division of Jack Henry of Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. (JHA). Tom’s responsibility includes educating and assisting financial institutions in selecting the proper strategies and solutions for dealing with unplanned outages and cyber attacks. With more than 40 years of business and technical experience, along with 29 years of experience in the Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Planning BC/DRP industry, Tom has evolved as a recognized expert in the field of BC/DRP.
Tom joined JHA in 2000 to establish the Business Continuity Planning consulting practice. This consisted of hiring and training the consulting staff, developing a BCP methodology and producing the associated customer deliverables. The consulting team has assisted hundreds of financial institutions in the development of Enterprise Wide BC/ DRP’s. Tom and his consulting team were also responsible for developing JHA’s corporate BCP.
Prior to joining Centurion, Tom worked for IBM for 23 years. The last 14 years of Tom’s tenure with IBM he served as a consultant with IBM’s Business Recovery Consulting Group, assisting clients in multiple industries in the development of their BC/DRP’s. Tom’s dynamic presentation style makes his presentations interactive, educational, motivational, thought provoking, and inspirational. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and a Masters in Management from Walsh College in Troy, MI.
