Jeff Vogel was appointed as the Director of the Wyoming Department of Audit in January 2012, after serving as the head of the Division of Banking as the Wyoming State Banking Commissioner since February 2002.

As Director, Jeff leads the agency responsible for mineral tax auditing, excise tax auditing, public funds auditing, and banking and consumer credit services regulation. He is also an ex-officio member of the state banking board. Prior to becoming a bank examiner, Jeff began his career in 1984 with the State for the Wyoming State Examiner as a Public Funds auditor after working for a Wyoming oil and gas exploration and development company as an accountant.

Aside from his service as Graduate School of Banking at Colorado Trustee Advisor, Jeff currently serves on of the Board of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) and served as its Chairman in 2008. He chaired the Board of Trustees of the CSBS Education Foundation and was the Chair of the CSBS Regulatory Policy Committee in 2011.

In addition to graduating from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado in 1993, Jeff is a Certified Examinations Manager who received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Wyoming in 1983. Jeff and his wife Kathy have two sons, Sam and Chase.
