Jane Haskin retired in June of 2017 after 39 years in the banking industry. She began her career approximately five miles from a small institution named Penn Square Bank. The lessons learned from banking during the Oklahoma oil bust of the 1980’s influenced Jane’s entire career as a commercial loan officer. In her last position she served over eleven years as the President and CEO of First Bethany Bank.

Jane holds an accounting degree and is a CPA. During her banking career she served as the first woman to Chair the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Bankers Association, and is currently serving as Chair of the Oklahoma Society of CPAs. In 2014, Jane was recognized as one of the 25 most powerful women in banking by American Banker Magazine. Her passion has always been teaching financial empowerment and she taught Junior Achievement classes for over 30 years in Oklahoma City, Putnam City, and Bethany schools. She served on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma City Branch of the Federal Reserve and on the FDIC’s Advisory Committee on Community Banking in Washington D.C. She also was a member of the ABA’s Community Bankers Council and authored book reviews for the ABA Banking Journal.

Jane is married to Michael Haskin and they have one daughter, Sarah, who is a CPA in Salt Lake City, Utah.
