Brian McCain has served as chief financial officer (CFO) for First State Bank, with headquarters located in Gainesville, Texas, since 2012. In addition, he serves on the board of directors for the bank and the bank’s holding company, Red River Bancorp, Inc. Brian is currently chair of the ALCO committee and serves on various other committees within the bank, and his primary responsibilities include managing the bank’s $400 million bond portfolio along with the finance and asset liability areas. Brian also has executive oversight over the accounting, finance and compliance departments, and the management related to employee health and retirement plans. First State Bank serves communities across five contiguous North Texas counties and has approximately $1.3 billion in assets.

Prior to joining First State Bank, Brian was the CFO for a community bank in Plano, Texas, and served 10 years in the United States Air Force prior to launching his banking career. Brian earned a bachelor of science degree in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle and an MBA from New York Institute of Technology. In addition, he is a 2011 graduate of GSBC.
