Bill Lee’s banking career has spanned 22 years, with the majority of it being spent in the credit department. He has vast experience in establishing credit cultures and problem bank workouts. Currently, Bill serves as EVP and CLO of SpiritBank (a community bank with headquarters in Bristow, OK). During his 8 years at the Bank, he has served in the role of CCO for almost 6 years, taking on the role of CLO over the past 2 years. In addition to duties as CLO, Bill is responsible for the Bank’s Special Assets and Mortgage departments. For Bill, teaching is a passion. During his tenure at SpiritBank, Bill has taught internal courses covering financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, loan structuring, problem loan identification, commercial real estate lending, and advanced cash flow for experienced bankers. The class is open to all employees of the Bank and attendees are from the lending, credit and retail departments.
Bill graduated from John Brown University, having studied history and advanced mathematics. His education has not stopped though, as he is currently pursuing an accounting degree at Northeastern State University, so that he may sit for the CPA exam. Bill and his wife have a 9 year old son and 18 year old twin daughters from a previous marriage. Outside of work, you can find Bill reading, spending time with his family, weightlifting and working through math problems to keep his mind sharp.
