Course: Transforming Your Bank from Branch Centric to Customer Centric: You Don’t Have as Much Time as You Think
Lance Kessler is President of Lance Kessler & Associates, a marketing consulting and training firm. He worked in banking for twenty-five years before starting his own consulting firm. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from York College of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree in Management from Johns Hopkins University. He is also a graduate of ABA’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking and completed an Executive Program on Consumer Marketing Strategy at Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Mr. Kessler is on the faculty of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado’s Executive Development Institute for Community Banks, the Graduate School of Bank Marketing & Management, the Stonier Graduate School of Banking sponsored by the American Bankers Association, and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also on the faculty of the Advanced School of Banking sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bankers Association, and the New England School for Financial Studies sponsored by the Massachusetts Bankers Association.
Mr. Kessler was a member of the Board of Directors of the ABA’s Bank Marketing Association (BMA), was a charter member of the ABA’s Certified Financial Marketing Professional Certification Advisory Board, and also served on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Retail Banking Services. He currently serves on the ABA School of Bank Marketing’s Board of Advisors, the Graduate School of Banking’s Academic Committee, and on the Advisory Board for Penn State University’s Graduate Training & Development Program at the Harrisburg Campus.
Mr. Kessler is a frequent speaker on marketing, management, and organizational development topics at industry conferences. He has authored various articles on these topics over the years. His most recent article appeared in the ABA Bank Marketing & Sales magazine’s May 2014 issue. It is entitled “Customer-Centric Now!”
