Alumni Ambassadors

The Alumni Ambassador Program, an extension of the Alumni Association, engages GSBC alumni by offering incentives and recognition to those who work to support the school’s recruitment efforts in their local banking communities throughout the year.

Collaborating for Success

Connect With An Advisor or Ambassador

The GSBC Alumni Advisory Board strengthens alumni relations and supports marketing efforts in key states. The mission of the board is to sustain a fully informed, representative and engaged exchange of information and sentiment between alumni and GSBC, and to enhance and inspire alumni involvement that furthers the mission of the school.

Alumni Advisory Board members are available to collaborate on banking-industry events and oversee the general goals and objectives of the Alumni Ambassador Program.

Your fellow Alumni Ambassadors might also be attending an event that you are. You are more than welcome to collaborate with those from your state or ask any Ambassador for ideas!

Meet Our Ambassadors

GSBC has been an invaluable capstone to my career in community banking, and has allowed me to appreciate and offer new perspectives to our bank and the communities we serve. It’s a privilege to give back as an Alumni Ambassador, and encourage other Ohio bankers to “Go West!” to take their personal and professional development to the next level.

I've always been an advocate of GSBC and given the impact that is has had on my career, I'm excited to expose others to the same impact. I hope that I can utilize my Girl Banker platform and social media presence to tell women in banking all over the country what GSBC can offer them!

GSBC helped me become a better community banker and I look forward to educating others regarding all this school has to offer. The classes are informative, relevant and key to growing in this industry. That being said, by far my favorite part were the relationships I made that will truly last a lifetime. Spending two weeks in Boulder during July wasn’t bad either! My time there was invaluable and I am honored to serve as an ambassador for this wonderful organization.

The experience and the knowledge gained by attending GSBC is invaluable. Having the opportunity to attend has made me a better banker, not just for my institution but for my community. I am excited and honored to be an Alumni Ambassador! I am looking forward to helping other bankers take advantage of what GSBC has to offer and to help them develop as they take their next steps in their careers.

The instructors at GSBC brought real-world teaching to us in an easy-to-understand format that we could immediately take back to our institutions and implement. The impact GSBC had on me as a person, and as a banker, will last a lifetime.

My time at GSBC was awesome for my continued development as a community banker and, I believe, a big reason that I am in the role that I fill today. I am hopeful that my role as an ambassador will result in more east coast bankers becoming familiar with GSBC and taking that next step in their careers as well.

GSBC was a pivotal time in my professional career that solidified my desire to be a community banker for life. Not only is it an excellent program and school, the opportunity to expand my network of banking contacts is endless. After attending for the past three years, I can attest that the future of community banking is bright. My time at GSBC is one that I will treasure forever and am excited to share my experience and knowledge with many others.

I thoroughly enjoyed attending GSBC and want others to see the importance of the education and training they can receive as well!  GSBC has the platform to help any community banker who is willing to put forth the effort and time. The networking opportunities and friendships gained are endless. Why wouldn’t you want to attend with the added bonus of being near the mountains!

GSBC was a tremendous experience for both my personal and professional growth. Not only did my time at GSBC equip me with invaluable tools for advancement in my banking career, but the relationships I established will undoubtedly last a lifetime. I’m thrilled to be able to represent GSBC as an Alumni Ambassador so that I can encourage and inspire other Oklahoma Bankers to participate in such a wonderful program. It will be an honor to play a small role in showing others all GSBC has to offer.

I am excited to serve as an Alumni Ambassador for the GSBC so I can help other community bankers see all the wonderful opportunities that are offered both professionally and personally. During my time in Boulder, I learned so many things in class and from peers across the country that I now call friends. If you are considering GSBC, please let me share my experiences from the classroom, to intersession projects, to life on campus.

GSBC was an excellent choice for me when choosing a school to expand my knowledge of the banking industry. I immediately noticed the high quality of the classes, the beauty of the campus and the fantastic community of Boulder, Colorado. I made connections with other professionals in the banking industry that I will cherish for the rest of my career, and friends that I will cherish for life. I am proud to represent the school as an ambassador, as I believe the benefit to the students who attend and their employers is measurable and tangible. GSBC helps make better bankers, better regulators and better members of our communities, and I’m honored to represent the school as an Ambassador.

The professional development I gained from GSBC could not have been accomplished anywhere else. Not only have I made lifelong friends through my time in the program, but I also was given a tremendous resource in my connections with other community bankers and the GSBC mentors and staff. My time at GSBC is something that I not only treasure, but I will continue to draw from experiences, classes and the network that it provided me.

I’m excited to be a GSBC Alumni Ambassador to let other community bankers, especially in the South, know that GSBC offers the best program based around what we do and how we are challenged as community banks. It’s not just theoretical knowledge, its real-world and current to what your bank may be faced with. I realized the benefits of my education at GSBC as soon as I came back from my first year and it only grew from there. The people I met and the relationships I developed will be with me for the rest of my life. That network of support and shared knowledge from across the county is invaluable.

It is an honor to be an Alumni Ambassador for GSBC. I truly believe my GSBC experience was a gift and I’m eager to share my experience with other community bankers. The campus, curriculum, connections and extracurricular activities around Boulder are unmatched. I am so grateful for the unique opportunities to learn from and connect with industry experts and well-respected community bank leaders, not just while on campus, but for years to come.

I have learned something new from each of my GSBC experiences. As a student, I was exposed to concepts and strategies that benefited my bank and customers. As a faculty member, I was sharpened through discussions with students and other faculty members. As an alum, I am challenged to consider the opportunities facing our industry and our economy. I can’t speak highly enough of the impact GSBC has had on me and my career.

My experience at GSBC was amazing. Not only did I learn from industry expert instructors, I was able to gain life long friendships in fellow bankers across the country. I look forward to continuing being active with GSBC as an Alumni Ambassador. It’s easy for me to get excited about my GSBC experience and I look forward to sharing how the program will allow you to be a better person and banker.

Coming from the regulatory perspective, the opportunity to interact with community bankers from across the country over three years was an incredibly impactful professional development experience. My time at GSBC continues to benefit me in my work every day. As an alumni ambassador, I hope to serve as a bridge between the regulatory and banking communities and encourage others to engage in the dialogue that makes GSBC so great.

At GSBC, I was able to substantially diversify my knowledge of how the non-lending areas of a bank operate. What I’ve learned through GSBC has definitely accelerated by career, which is why I’m glad to serve as a resource to others that may be evaluating whether GSBC can make a similar impact on their career.

At GSBC, I was able to learn about non-lending areas of the bank with a focus on leadership roles. The ability to network with CEOs and other leaders of banks provided a variety of learning experiences and relationships that I look to continue for my entire career. It is a privilege to give back as an Alumni Ambassador and I look forward to working with many future students and graduates.

Attending GSBC has been very beneficial to my banking career. Additionally, the friendships and connections I made will last a lifetime. In my role as an ambassador I hope to encourage more Oklahoma community bankers to attend and experience all GSBC has to offer.
