A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GSBC STUDENT...

GSBC students spend two weeks each July at the annual school session, attending classes each weekday from 8:00 am - 4:50 pm.  The majority of the classes are held in the Wolf Law building on the beautiful University of Colorado campus.  Wolf Law is a 10-15 minute walk (see campus map) from the Bear Creek Apartments and is a new, state of the art classroom facility.  There are also shuttle busses provided to transport students to/from classes and any GSBC sponsored events.

Students spend their days in class and have most evenings as free time for recreation, social time or study time.  There are some late afternoon presentations offered throughout the school session from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Additionally, each day before lunch, a Current Events Symposium will be held at Wolf Law. Most of these events are optional and students can chose to attend if they are interested in the specific topic of discussion.

Students can enjoy the weekend, in between the two weeks, as free time.  Many students use this time to explore Colorado, spend time with friends, invite family to visit, or simply enjoy some quiet time.  It's up to you whether you would like to test your climbing or river rafting skills or enjoy a quiet dinner on the Pearl Street Mall.  The sky's the limit!

A typical day for a GSBC student is included below.  Each student year is listed separately to show the appropriate courses that a student may complete during the school session.  For elective courses, there additional options to choose from that are not listed below.  Please see the full listing of GSBC course descriptions for all elective options.

For Computer Based Education (CBE) students, please refer to the 2011 Schedule of CBE Courses for the classes you are required to complete prior to arriving to the school session.  CBE students will arrive on campus Sunday of the second week and will have the same second week schedule as shown below.  Students may chose the CBE option for years one and two, but must be on campus the full two weeks for year three.
