David Nowling retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City-Denver Branch after 31 years serving as an examiner and manager over both the Examinations and Inspections, and Consumer Affairs Departments in Denver.

David has a double major in Finance and Accounting from the University of Colorado, and a MBA from the University of Denver. He completed the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado in 1999, and received a Certificate in Organizational Development in December 2001. He has served on the Annual School Session faculty at the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado for more than 15 years. He is also the Leadership Chair and a faculty member in the GSBC’s Executive Development Institute for Community Bankers.

He has extensive experience in cultural change, organizational alignment, job performance, executive coaching, team assessments, interventions and communication. He is certified in Social & Emotional Intelligence and is certified to teach Crucial Conversations, Crucial Confrontations, and Crucial Accountability. David is Senior Vice President of Consulting at R.B. Slade & Associates, LLC, and also serves as a consultant for Bank Strategies, LLC.
