Cathy Morrissey has retired from fulltime banking after a career that included serving as president of i3 Bank, a $190 million community bank headquartered in Bennington, Nebraska, with offices in Omaha, Ashland and Lincoln.

Cathy joined the team at i3 Bank in August 2018 after 24 years in the wholesale banking environment and 10 years leading a regional payment network. Cathy began as a national bank examiner, and then joined First Commerce Bancshares/National Bank of Commerce (NBC) in correspondent banking. This opportunity led to overseeing correspondent banking for NBC, and then following the acquisition of First Commerce by Wells Fargo, a senior management position over an eight-state region for Wells Fargo.

Cathy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated with honors from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. Cathy has served as a faculty member for Bank Management Simulation at GSBC for 21 years, as well as the NBA/KBA Advanced School of Banking for 24 years. Cathy is involved in a number of financial, civic and charitable organizations and is currently a member of the board of directors for i3 Bank, Bennington, Nebraska. Cathy is also a past chair of the Nebraska Bankers Association and the YMCA of Lincoln, Nebraska.
