
GSBC STAFFTimothy W. Koch, Ph.D. is Professor of Finance at the
Dr. Koch's research interests include bank performance analysis, risk management, the use and pricing of options, swaps and financial futures, and the pricing of fixed income securities. He is coauthor of Bank Management, a leading college textbook, and numerous articles in academic journals and banking publications. Prior to being named President of GSBC, Tim taught at all six of the major graduate schools of banking throughout the U.S. Tim is the author of the General Banking curriculum materials for state-sponsored banking schools. During the 1990's, he also conducted extensive seminars in risk management topics throughout Eastern Europe as part of the U.S. Treasury's program to familiarize bankers in this part of the world with effective risk management practices. Tim is a frequent seminar speaker for the banking industry, is a consultant for community banks and currently serves on the FDIC's Advisory Committee on Community Banking. Tim teaches the Asset & Liability Management II course for second year students at GSBC which is consistently rated one of the most valuable courses for students at GSBC.
Amy has worked in various areas of banking and joined the GSBC team in 2006. She started her banking career in 1991 and has worked in human resources, financial reporting and income accounting. Amy was excited to bring her banking experience into the education sector and serves as the office manager for the school. Amy graduated from Valparaiso University with a B.S. in Business-Marketing and a minor in psychology. A native of Chicago, she moved to Colorado in 2001 and enjoys the beautiful mountain scenery and the great outdoors. In her spare time, Amy enjoys travel, photography and most of all spending time with her family. Liz Lutz, Marketing ManagerLiz moved to Boulder in 2005 from Pennsylvania to begin working for GSBC. She has a joint Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Management and a minor in Spanish from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina where she also worked in the Executive Management Center as a marketing coordinator. The Daniel-Mickel Center for Executive Education conducts professional development seminars for businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organizations throughout the U.S. and abroad in all industry sectors. Liz completed the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business 50 for Colorado Leadership Program in November 2008. Outside of GSBC, Liz spends her time taking advantage of the Colorado lifestyle: skiing, mountain biking, and exploring our great state. She also enjoys traveling, speaks Spanish and enjoys interacting with the international community. If you are interested in attending GSBC, Liz is a great resource to discuss the school!
